"And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him."
(James 5:15 KJV)
The word "concerned" means it is important; anxious; interested in, according to the dictionary. Are you interested in people to the point of being anxious for their well-being? If you are, that is the concerned heart that is necessary for persistent and daily praying for the welfare of others that intercessory prayer requires of all who pray for results. The Book of James says: "Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:" (James 5:13-14 KJV). Pray to Our Awesome God, praise and thank Him!
Do you want to help others all the time? Are you willing to change your life? How concerned are you? Do you always look for a way to encourage and/or help others? Is it a need for you to help? This is Our Awesome God giving you the feeling of concern for others and the desire to want to help them. This feeling of concern will (if you follow the feeling) lead you to find out if everything is going well with this person---emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Don't ignore this concern! God may be urging you to pray and help them. PRAYER always helps! Try praying according to John 16:24 KJV which says, "Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full."
It is important to follow-up these concerns with prayers and then a call to the person if you know who needs your prayers and/or help. If not, call someone who knows the prayer requests for your church and keep your eyes on the news. Our Awesome God doesn't always let us know why we need to pray, but He often lets us see the results of our prayers. Or He just may want to see if you will pray when He asks or urges you.
LWBC has a limited Intercessory Prayer Team now but the ability to make prayer a 24/7 task begins with having enough people to pray. First we need to know Our Awesome God, His Son, and read His Holy Bible well while listening to the Holy Spirit in our hearts.
LWBC is a Bible believing church that tries to live Jesus Christ's commandment to "love one another as I have loved you." (John 15:12 KJV) Join us this Sunday as we learn more about Our Awesome God and how to teach others from His Holy Bible. Our church starts with small groups on Sunday at 9:30 AM and Worship Service at 10:30 AM and Sunday evening Bible Study at 6:00 PM along with AWANA for children until 7:30 PM.
