"And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water."
(Exodus 2:10 KJV)
Moses was different from most of Our Awesome God's leaders before and after him in the Holy Bible. In his 120 years on earth, he was hidden from the Egyptians and then raised a prince by them. He killed a man and ran from Egypt (Exodus 2:12). He was a shepherd and alone a lot. He married a Midianite woman (Exodus 2:21). When He was commanded by God to talk to Egypt's Pharaoh, he pleaded a speech impediment so he was humble or afraid. He led a nation while he organizing it. Our God Is Awesome; He talked directly with Moses and defended him from rebellion.
Moses wrote the first five Books of the Holy Bible under Our Awesome God's direction, so he described himself as God saw him and he portrayed a man set apart from his people, unique, solitary, with no previous experience in leading people or forming a nation. Could this be because God was the true leader? Moses was meek and humble and obedient. Even his brother and sister tried to take his place as leader (Numbers 12:1-14).
Moses was the type of leader that was needed at that time in the development of God's chosen people. Moses pleaded with Our Awesome God for Israel and he got the Law from God, including the Ten Commandments. He organized the Children of Israel into a nation and, at God's instruction, gave them a military leader that was not of his family. All of this information is found and more in the first five Books of God's Holy Bible which Moses wrote as inspired by God.
God Is Awesome and makes no mistakes. He chose Moses, talked with him and empowered him to lead Israel. God put the right man in the right place at the right time. Are you at the right place at the right time? Are you doing what God wants you to do? Are you asking God for help and then obeying Him? If not read what Moses did in the first 5 Books of our Holy Bible and let God help you succeed.
