"For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land."
(Song of Solomon 2:11-12 KJV)
"This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him."
(Lamentations 3:21-24 KJV)
Many of us have gardens that have plants that come back each year when Spring comes and Winter is past. The lilies, tulips and crocuses pop up out of the ground to remind us that Our Awesome God gives an opportunity to rest and renew our strength before our next trial or temptation if we lean on Him.
There are times when we need to rest in the arms of Our Awesome God and absorb His peace, love and faithfulness. Some of us do this with vacations, some with retreats, some with fasting and some with frequent prayers and some use all of these methods to keep their focus on God. But be aware that there are "winters" in our lives that are not unusual but we need the hope found in God's Holy Word and we should use it. Those "winters" need the renewal of "springs" in the form of Jesus Christ as our loving God planned it. We remember that at Easter, Jesus Christ died for us and rose from the dead to allow all those who believe in Him to live forever with Him. This great love and faithfulness is a gift to us, His sinful people, and should be remembered in our darkest "winter" night so that we can be assured that "spring" with its renewal is on the way.
Renewal is Our Awesome God's plan to keep you from experiencing what we call "burnout" in our professional life and in our work for Him. So lean on our powerful God and on Jesus Christ to keep your feelings of peace, of love from above and the knowledge that He is there whenever you need Him. We need our God always.
Learn more about Our Awesome God by reading His Holy Bible, praying to Him and worshipping in a church which preaches and teaches the Holy Bible. Come join us as we work in Our Awesome God's vineyard, telling others about His story, Jesus Christ's Salvation, and our eternal home with Him, trying to help them to understand Our Creator better. Our church starts with small groups on Sunday at 9:30 AM and a Worship Service at 10:30 AM. On Sunday evening at 6:00 PM, we have a Bible Study meets for an hour. On Wednesdays, we meet at 7:00 PM for Prayer Meeting and Bible Study along with a Spanish Bible Study and Youth Chapel until 8:00 PM. We love visitors!
