"Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else."
(Deuteronomy 4:39 KJV)
"The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."
(John 1:29 KJV)
"That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him."
(John 5:23 KJV)
In the above passages from the Bible, Our Awesome God states in the Book of Deuteronomy that He is one God. But in John 5:23, God says through His Son, Jesus, that we need to honor both God and Jesus. However, we honor one if we honor the other - they are the same. After He left earth, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit (John 15:26, 16:7) to take His place in each person who was or would become a Christian (Acts 1:5). These are the three aspects of God called the Trinity.
God is Awesome. He is one God but He has what I, with my human mind, consider three aspects: three ways of showing just a little of what He can do so we can understand Him a little better. 1) Our Awesome God (the Father) - is our Creator, our judge, our sustainer, all powerful, and He can do anything He wants to do (Deuteronomy 32:39-44). 2) Jesus Christ - can do all things that the Father can do (John 5:19-31) but we can better relate to Him because He experienced the same feelings and frustrations as we do when He was living on earth and dying for us. 3) Holy Spirit - Once we become a Christian, He is in our hearts with the gentle wooing and urging aspect of God that shows us the deep reason why God's way is THE BEST WAY FOR US (1 John 2:27).
There are three aspects or persons of this One Being, Our Awesome God. He loves you enough to devote two of His persons to helping you understand Him in your own way, but He remains One God with a purpose of getting you into heaven for eternity with Him. He loves you! Start learning more about Him, for God has all knowledge and wisdom.
You need to start with becoming a Christian if you aren't. Then check the Bible to realize all the laws you have broken and that Jesus Christ came to earth as a man to save you from having to pay for breaking those laws. A Christian is just an eternally saved sinner. Become a Christian by repenting of those sins and obeying, as best you can, Our Awesome God's laws.
Our church starts with small groups on Sunday at 9:30 AM and a Worship Service at 10:30 AM. On Sunday evening at 6:00 PM, a Bible Study meets for an hour and there is more during the week.
