"For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith."
(Galatians 5:5 KJV)
Waiting with hope is very difficult but waiting for hope is even more difficult. You wait for hope when you see no hope of success but you refuse to despair because only Our Awesome God can determine the righteousness of your actions for sure. You wait for hope when the night is dark and you keep the window open in the hope of at least seeing a star. You wait for hope when this empty spot in your heart needs filling but only Our Awesome God's best will fill it... so you wait.
It is the kind of patient waiting for hope that we see in the story of Job in the midst of his friend's doubt and accusations. It is the waiting for hope we see in Abraham on the road to Moriah or Moses in the desert of Midian. Waiting is always hard but when you wait for hope, you almost hurt it is so difficult.
This is the time to get your Holy Bible and read and pray until Our Awesome God gives you that spark, that assurance that you can hope for whatever you have been praying for or working toward. It may not happen now, but it will happen, just as Abraham was assured by God that he would have a child from Sarah. If God promises one time, then it will happen. If He assures you, then keep waiting and remember Abraham and his wait. God's time is not always our time or His Ways our ways.
Most of all, you will have reached your point of greatest strength when you have learned to wait for hope from Our Awesome God. For God has a purpose for everything He does and He wants you ready for heaven. So He will prepare you for eternity with Him and the job He has for you. Wait with hope that God is preparing you to work with Jesus Christ for eternity. This belief in God and His Son, Jesus Christ, is what you are here on earth for. Do you believe and how much? Are you ready for the wait for hope stage? Jesus Christ is waiting for you.
We (as a church) want all people in church, worshipping Our Awesome God with faith and obedience every Sunday. If you are not yet a Christian, it is time that you should know and love Our Awesome God as your Creator and Savior. Join us at Living Word Baptist Church as we pray and worship Him this Sunday at 10:30 AM and at 6:00 PM for a Bible Study hour along with AWANA for children, lasting until 7:30 PM. On Wednesdays, we meet at 7:00 PM for Prayer Requests and a Bible Study follows until 8:00 PM. We love visitors!
