Our Wonderful God

Anxious

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."          (Philippians 4:6-7 KJV)

We need to remember that Our Wonderful God is a loving God and He created you (1 John 4:16).  He does not want you to be anxious about anything.  God also knows what your deepest needs are and may let you confront them to overcome them.  The Holy Spirit is always with His children and will protect you (John 14:17).

Generally, most anxieties come from basic needs that we feel might not be met.  It may be food, clothes, transportation, love and/or housing.  But search what you have anxieties about, tracing to a "root cause" and see if it isn't a basic need.  Once you realize what it is about, start asking Our Wonderful God to show you how to overcome it and pray about it until it goes away.  Read what God's Holy Bible says about it (Philippians 4:19).  Seek professional help from people who believe in Bible Principles as well as being trained in psychology.  Renew your trust and belief that God can do anything and will because He loves you (2 Corinthians 1:9; 1 Timothy 1:10; Luke 1:37; John 3:16).  So again, read what God's Holy Bible says about it.  The Bible Program "Celebrate Recovery" can be helpful.  Ask our Pastor.

Anxiety is similar to a mouse turning his little wheel and going nowhere.  It keeps you busy with good exercise but it does not overcome your basic problem until you confront it and control it.  Our Wonderful God wants you to get rid of anything between you and Him and a good Christian Counselor helps.  Pray about your problems every day and leave them with God to take care of.  When you can do this, you will be amazed at the peace you will feel.

God knows everything and loves you beyond any love we know or really understand.  So voice it aloud to Our Wonderful God alone and, if you still have a problem, seek a Christian Counselor with a degree.   Attend our church or another Bible preaching and teaching church near you who believes Jesus died, taking all your sins upon himself, and arose the third day to sit at the right hand of God.  Our Wonderful God is waiting for you and loving you as He cheers you on your journey of life.  Praise the Lord!

Our church is a loving church that wants to help others to a better understanding of Our Amazing Creator and His love, mercy and grace for all of mankind.  Join us at Living Word Baptist Church on Sunday morning (9:30 AM) with Bible Study then Worship Services (10:30 AM), and the entire time the nursery is open for infants and toddlers.  There is a children's church during the morning Worship.  An Hispanic congregation, El Faro, holds a Worship Service at 1:00 PM in Spanish.  At 6:00 PM we have an evening Bible Study (in English) along with AWANA clubs for children throughout the school year. Wednesday evening we meet for Prayer Requests and Bible Study at 7:00 PM. Come sing in our choir.  We practice at 5:00 PM on SUNDAY.  We love visitors and would enjoy meeting you and telling you about Our Wonderful God.
