Psalm 40:1 (New International Version)

 ¹ I waited patiently for the LORD;
       he turned to me and heard my cry.

Thought for the day:  Jessie and I were in line at the DPS waiting to get her driver’s license.  She had been waiting a year for this day.  When we walked in the door the line already wrapped around lobby and down the hall.  At least there were three people working at the counter.  Three hours later we were fourth in line.  A woman and her daughter were arguing with one clerk, one clerk went on break and the third clerk’s computer went down.  Jessie didn’t say anything but I could see the disappointment on her face as she began to bounce.  A half hour later she was all smiles as we walked to the car with her license in hand.  It had been a long morning but her patience had paid off.  Sometimes we have to wait on the Lord too.  Even though the wait can be long, God always comes through with what is best for us because He loves us.  He is worth the wait.

Have faith in God when your prayers seem unanswered,

Your earnest plea He will never forget;

Wait on the Lord, trust His word and be patient,

Have faith in God, He will answer you yet.
