Matthew 7:11 (New International Version)

11If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

Thought for the day:  As our kids have gotten older, the things they ask for have gotten more expensive.  They have gotten better at telling us why they want what they ask for.  We have gotten better at distinguishing things that would be beneficial from fleeting fads.  We often have to choose which gifts we give our kids based on our limitations.  God has no limitations.  He has already given us the most important gift of all- the gift of salvation.  When we choose to accept His gift, he chooses to make us His children.  We have to come to Him and ask.  He wants us to continue asking for the things that we need.  He continues to bless us.  Often, the answers to our sincere prayer requests are in the works before we think to pray.  He is the perfect Father and He cares for His children.

We magnify our Father God with songs of thoughtful praise;

As grateful children we confess how perfect are His ways.

We worship Jesus Christ our Lord who saw our sin and pain

And with the Great Physician’s skill restored our health again.
